Atticus Maldonado, a cherished young member of the Bell Gardens community, passed away at the age of 18, leaving family, friends, and educators in deep sorrow.

Atticus attended St. Gertrude the Great School and later St. Pius X–St. Matthias Academy, where Atticus built a reputation for kindness, faith, and purpose.

Peggy Weber, principal of St. Gertrude the Great School, shared the heartbreaking news, describing Atticus as “an amazing young man” whose life reflected devotion and compassion.

Atticus found joy in race cars, time on the baseball field, and meaningful relationships that brought light to others.

Loved ones remember Atticus for a strong sense of faith and a gentle spirit that touched many lives despite a short journey.

One supporter expressed condolences, saying, “Praying for the family during this incredibly difficult time,” reflecting the community’s shared grief.
