Michael Jay Rodrigues, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, leaving a deep void in the hearts of family, friends, and the Newport community.
Known for his compassionate nature and willingness to help anyone in need, Jay was deeply loved and respected. He had a particular fondness for caring for cats without homes, ensuring they were fed and nurtured.
Jay retired after many dedicated years serving the city of Providence and the Traffic Tribunal. His commitment to his work and community made a lasting impact on all who knew him.
