Allen Holman and Edwin Robbins DuPont Identified Among Victims of Tragic Plane Crash in New Market, Tennessee

Authorities confirmed that Allen Holman, 74, of Knoxville, and Edwin Robbins DuPont, 49, of Seymour, lost their lives following a plane crash in New Market earlier this week.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported that the aircraft went down in a field off Burchell Road between Lost Creek Road and Nances Ferry Road.

The Federal Aviation Administration stated that the Beechcraft 58 crashed at approximately 1:10 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026.

Allen Holman built a respected life as a retired engineer and experienced pilot, holding a license since 1984 and logging more than 4,000 hours in the air.

Community members shared heartfelt condolences online, with one comment expressing, "Our thoughts are with the families during this incredibly difficult time."

Another message read, "Sending prayers and strength to everyone affected by this heartbreaking loss."

Officials continue to investigate the cause of the crash, while loved ones remember both individuals for their lives and contributions.

Family members will announce details regarding memorial services in the coming days.
