Ronald “Eric” Hummel passed away on April 11, 2026, at the age of 36, leaving the Centerburg community in deep sorrow.
Eric built a life centered on dedication, service, and family, earning admiration from all who knew him.
Eric served in the United States Air Force after graduating from Black River High School in 2007, enlisting in 2008 and completing overseas deployments during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom before an honorable discharge in 2018 as a Staff Sergeant.
After military service, Eric worked as a Cybersecurity Engineer and Architect, contributing to Department of Defense operations with professionalism and skill.
Family remained Eric’s greatest pride, sharing life with spouse Amber Marie Hummel and children Emma, Elizabeth, and Ronald “Emmett,” who now carry forward cherished memories.
Friends and loved ones remember Eric for warmth, generosity, and a love for riding, beach outings, and joyful gatherings filled with laughter.
